What is a Dental Crown?
A Dental Crown is often used to protect damaged and decayed teeth that are at risk of breaking, and no longer have the structure or strength to support regular fillings. The Crown is a tooth shaped cap that covers the existing tooth, (above the gum line) and is designed to restore its normal function and appearance as well as maintaining its structural integrity. How is it made?
Dental Crowns are made by taking a mould of the tooth to ensure an exact fit, and are constructed from high grade porcelain, gold and other strong materials. |
What is a Dental Bridge?
A Dental Bridge is used to replace missing teeth using an artificial tooth that’s permanently fixed to an adjacent tooth or dental implant. How is it made? Dental Bridges are fixed in the mouth using Crowns on the teeth either side of any gap. The Bridge is fitted in between and connected to the two Crowns either side. Modern Dental Bridges are long lasting with good oral hygiene and regular check-ups. |
