Dr Mark Wu
Dr Mark Wu completed his dental degree at the University of Melbourne. Before settling in Brisbane, Mark spent many years in a very busy private dental clinic in North Queensland and is therefore skilled in all aspects of dentistry.
Mark has a special interest in oral surgery and dental implant and he’s well experienced in wisdom teeth extraction. Whether to help you achieve the perfect smile or keep your oral health on track, Mark aims to deliver high quality dentistry in a calm and comfortable environment.
Mark is committed to constant improvement and training. He has studied dental implant and advanced dentistry from internationally recognised institutes. To keep up with the latest dental knowledge and techniques, each year he spends hundreds of hours in attending conferences, courses and workshops delivered by worldwide experts.
Mark’s spare time is kept busy with his wife and two adorable (sometimes) children. Being father to a girl and a boy, he has an impressive knowledge of barbie dolls and PAW Patrol. He enjoys food and collects Trappist beers and their matching glasses.
Dr Emily Shorten has more than two decades of experience as a dentist and provides gentle, high-quality, aesthetic dental healthcare for patients of all ages.
Emily is a Brisbane local, born and bred. She graduated with honours as a dentist from the University of Queensland in 2003. With deep local roots and a sense of community, she is known for her calm, gentle, and compassionate approach, helping patients feel at ease, and delivering dental treatment with exceptional results.
Emily is skilled in caring for anxious patients, children, adults – including those into their older age, and generations of families, building trusting relationships that span the years. She combines her professional expertise with a warm, approachable manner, making her a valued choice for family dentistry.
When she’s not at the clinic, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. Much of their week is filled with school activities, but they also make time to get outdoors together – whether it’s walking through forests or exploring mountains, beaches, and waterfalls in the sun, rain, or snow.
Dr Jamie Ma
Dr Jamie Ma grew up in Auckland, New Zealand before moving to Brisbane and commencing his academic studies at the University of Queensland. After graduating, Jamie briefly returned to Auckland and practiced as a Dentist, but he missed Brisbane, its people, and the Sunshine State. So, after a short period he returned and settled in Brisbane.
Dr Jamie has experience working in public and private dental clinics, and he strives to deliver the best dental treatment tailored to each patients’ needs. Jamie specialises in gentle dental treatment with a focus on pain-free dentistry.
In his spare time, Dr Jamie enjoys participating in volunteer dental activities with charities and not for profit organisations in Australia and internationally using his skills to provide emergency dental care to those in need.
His most adventurous trip was to Nepal providing education and dental care to children at an orphanage. When he’s not working or volunteering, Jamie enjoys the beach, cooking and travelling.
Dr Max Li
Dr. Max Li is a skilled and dedicated dentist with a comprehensive background in general practice, covering a wide range of treatments from preventive care to advanced restorative procedures. A graduate of the University of Melbourne, Max began his career in rural Queensland, where he quickly developed a patient-centred approach while treating a diverse array of cases.
Max has a keen interest in oral surgery and implantology, particularly in helping patients achieve functional, long-lasting results. His training includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implants from Ashton University, and he continues to deepen his skills in modern dentistry, particularly in aesthetic and orthodontic care.
As a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, Max is committed to maintaining high standards of dental practice. His ongoing professional education includes RipeGlobal Fellowships in Restorative and Clear Aligner Therapy, allowing him to stay current with the latest innovations and techniques.
Outside of work, Max enjoys the peace and quiet of home, staying connected with friends through online gaming or exploring different cuisines with his partner. They share their space with a cat who watches them both with an unsettling calm, as if silently judging—or just waiting for the right moment.
Nikki Miles

Nikki possesses an impressive array of qualifications, including a Diploma in Practice Management and a Certificate 3 in dental assisting, demonstrating her expertise.
Beyond the dental clinic, Nikki’s heart belongs to her two beloved children and her two adorable toy poodles. She finds joy in socialising with friends and family, attending musical performances and immersing herself in the melodies of music from various decades.
