Dr Jamie Ma
Dr Jamie Ma grew up in Auckland, New Zealand before moving to Brisbane and commencing his academic studies at the University of Queensland. After graduating, Jamie briefly returned to Auckland and practiced as a Dentist, but he missed Brisbane, its people, and the Sunshine State.
So, after a short period he returned and settled in Brisbane. Jamie subsequently purchased the highly respected Martin Dental practice with his friend and fellow Dentist Dr David Yu.
Dr Jamie has experience working in public and private dental clinics, and he strives to deliver the best dental treatment tailored to each patients’ needs. Jamie specialises in gentle dental treatment with a focus on pain-free dentistry.
In his spare time, Dr Jamie enjoys participating in volunteer dental activities with charities and not for profit organisations in Australia and internationally using his skills to provide emergency dental care to those in need.
His most adventurous trip was to Nepal providing education and dental care to children at an orphanage. When he’s not working or volunteering, Jamie enjoys the beach, cooking and travelling.
Dr Jennifer Lee
Dr. Jenny Lee grew up in Brisbane, attending Brisbane state high school and the University of Queensland. Dr. Jenny has previously worked in rural and regional towns such as Grafton and Coffs Harbour before moving back to Brisbane to be closer to her family.
Upon her return to Brisbane, Dr. Jenny joined the team at Newmarket Family Dental and volunteered regularly with Tzu Chi Foundation at the Inclusive Health Clinics. She believes the importance of preventative care as the longterm approach in looking after her patient’s dental health. Jenny enjoys taking the time to understand her patient’s needs to ensure they are getting the best possible dental treatment.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Jenny likes to spend her time in her kitchen cooking up a storm and baking yummy treats. She also enjoys exercising, dancing and painting.
Dr Hai Jiang
Dr Hai Jiang attained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Melbourne. He returned home to Queensland to work in both public and private dentistry, focusing on patient-centred care, pain-free dentistry, and advocating for preventative oral health.
Before joining the Newmarket Family Dental team, Hai worked in Queensland Health in areas of general dentistry, paediatric dentistry and general anaesthesia. He has also practiced dentistry for a not-for-profit organisation to close the gap in Indigenous health.
Hai has published multiple academic papers, and has experience as a clinical lecturer in dentistry at James Cook University. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association and the Australian Society of Periodontology. During his time in university, he was the recipient of the Australian Dental Association Student Research Prize and Queensland Dental Group Student Award.
On his days off, Hai enjoys spending time with his family and a good barbeque by the beach. He has an overly active 2-year-old who keeps him busy.
